Down a pale grove; up in a pale tree,
Hung a pale noose; in wait just for me.
It was old and dusty and looked rather frail,

We are but fragments in a system,
Sections of a revolving sphere,
We are but fragments moving alongside one another,
Some further away, others near,

People move in opposite directions,
Some brushing against each other along their way,
Without even a glance up to acknowledge the other,
Or to wish the counterpart a very nice day,

Some people interact with one another,
They converse while walking in a line,
They get things out of their bags, continue talking,
Never freezing a moment in time,

I walk unnoticed among this sea of people,
I look around me and choose to observe,
Some people have company, others are lonely,

Rather than rational thoughts that clear up our minds and cloud up our hearts.

I think is such a word,
That means little to those who choose rather to contemplate,
And to philosophize about things rather than to logically move through them.

Logic is fun and exciting, entertaining even,
But it can never give me the thrill that I get,

But being too rational can dim all passions,

I know it to be a dream when I awake
To find sunshine brightening the world with glee.
Yet each night dreams slither in like snakes,
And when they come I forget that they are fake,
Dreams take me to places where I am

He put his finger under her chin
   And lifted her eyes to his,
He intended to place on her lips
   The sweetest, tenderest kiss.
But as he looked into her eyes
   It halted him in his place.
The tears welled up in her eyes
   And redness took over her face.
He wanted to take away all her pain
   Take away every single fear.
He wanted her to realize
   He would always be here.
